Ravel Landscapes (Excerpts)
by Quayola & Sinigaglia with music by Vanessa Wagner

Saturday 2 April 20.30 hs
Free entry

Ravel Landscapes is a multimedia audiovisual performance fusing classical pianist Vanessa Wagner and generative images from visual artists Quayola & Sinigaglia, interpreting Ravel’s Pavane, Les Vales Nobles et Sentimentales, Gaspard de la Nuit and Ma Mere L’Oye. Through the use of bespoke software, the polyphonic sound of the piano is analysed and transformed into visual compositions.

Quayola & Sinigaglia is an ongoing collaboration with the aim to explore new relationships between sound and image, where both languages share forms and meanings. Inspired by the research of Kandinsky and Klee, they create complex digital systems of synchronised visualisations, translating the audible into visual form.
